Hi all, i want to extend my EE WIFI to an external building at the bottom of our rear garden. I pretty sure this can only be done with a wired connection to the main hub at the front of the house. This is fine by me but just wanted to check that it'll work before running the cable etc. Can an expert confirm this please. Thanks.

@NS123 Ethernet will work fine use the correct cable, what are you going to use once you get that Ethernet out there for the wireless wifi side of things though. If you have power at the external building from the Home, then Powerline may be an option also, speed does NOT go hand in hand with powerline though, i use external PL about 45-50 foot away and max speed around the 40Mb/s mark.

Hi Jim, i have power there and was going to use one of the EE wifi extenders to connect for wireless. Hope that works.

@NS123 If you need the speed off it all and no idea what you have currently Package or Equipment wise, then the Ethernet cable direct between EE Hub and the Extender gives you that, powerline will do the same through the mains cable wiring but at a way reduced rate for the speed.
