I have just received a full fibre 74 hub supplied with a 2mtr.lead and want to get a three mtr lead. I don't know what to buy.

Cat 5 or 6 ethernet cable. RJ45 connectors on each end. They are absolutely standard and come in many lengths. Between £5 and £10 on Amazon. Or take the 2 metre one into a shop and tell them you want a longer one.
