Ee sent letter claiming I haven't paid bill

I have received a letter from EE claiming I haven't paid for my broadband.

The thing is, EE cancelled my broadband in May of this year without me asking to. I just wanted to finish my current contract which had a few months left. EE set up new contract and stated they would grant me the last few months free as an apology for the hassle.

Now, they are claiming they have tried to contact me multiple times and are passing the debt to collection agency for failure to pay.

I haven't received any calls, emails or letters until this one for debt collection.

  • In addition, they spelled my name wrong, and gave me a new landline number, when I expressly asked to keep my number at the time.

How can I get this sorted out?
