EE smart Hub 7plus extender

Hi guys,

I have a small problem. I've just started a new broadband service with EE. I'm using the latest EE smart Hub 7plus extender. Every time when I open the laptop I have to log in with EE. After a while, I lose the connection and asked to log on the network again. This can happen 5 or 6 times a day. How can I be logged on all the time without logging in all the time.

Thanks,

Digby

@Lord_Digby You should NOT be connecting on the EE WiFi that is transmitting, the ssid for the hub will be like EE-123456 that is the one to connect too.

Are you mixing up the network SSID of your own router which could look something like "EE-ZX9XXX" with EE's public WiFi network which is named "EE  WiFi"? You shouldn't be trying to use "EE  WiFi"!

"You shouldn't be trying to use "EE WiFi!" That is exactly what I was using. Soon as I changed to  "EE-ZX9XXX" it all came together. This morning I opened up the laptop to read the news, and it was connected to the Internet. No logging required.

Thanks for all the help guys.

@Lord_Digby Not to worry, you are not the first to be doing that, there must be something unclear in the EE Setup guide that should say or explain EE WiFi is the FREE public connection, the EE Hubs re-introduced it back on about a year ago when it was NEVER on them at all only BT hubs at the time did....

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & trust it is now sorted.
