After I reported that my landline phone was down a week before, I was given multiple misleading promises. 1/. An engineer would phone me that night up to 12.30pm. (they finish work at 9pm), seeing I was disabled they would fast track my repair as urgent and get me sorted in 48 hours. That never happened either. Filed a complaint about being mislead and teased with useless promises and assurances. BT ran line tests and repeatedly their robot operator detected 'no fault on the line' before suddenly miraculously finding one (the problem was a junction box external to my flat). EE sent me a new modem, and I clipped in a spare phone in the meantime. Finally a week later an engineer turned up and did sort the problem out. My complaint was about the deceptive promises, not about the finally getting their act together to actually do something. EE now just say case closed without the slightest clue as to what they did if anything at all. Their call takers should never be allowed to build up customer hopes and expectations with promises and offers they are unwilling or unable to fulfill in this way. It is extremely distressing and disrespectful to the customers.
