EE app speed test misleads results

How is it that testing speeds using the EE app reports a speed of 445bps (consistently) whilst every other speed test reports anything from 10mbps to 50mbps at the exact same time?

@s1mps That is the design off the EE App speed test to give you both set's off figures, the speed to the EE hub and also the speed to the device, unless you link a sample get's hard to say, also multiple speed test's on separate devices if that is what you are trying to do also wireless wifi then not to easy workout, but just assume at least 40% to each device. Web based speedtest to give you the idea single PC wireless wifi connected full network online and a FF500 connection.

It's been a while since someone posted an app speed test up, link below gives you the general idea.

This is from a laptop wired into the EE router (Smart Hub 7 plus). I get the same results from my Oneplus 13 5G phone on WIFI. The EE App at the same time shows 445mbps.

@s1mps So what is your problem, the EE app speed test is fine as you posted? If it's the ookla speed test, all that is showing is you are likely connected with a 100Mb/s Ethernet port connection, your laptop is poor or your cable is bad from it's Ethernet port to the EE Plus hub, ie 4 cores on the cable instead off the 8, or one off many such reason's.

Speed to the device is what that EE test is showing at 495Mb/s down and 69Mb/s up?

Take it you only have a FF500 connection from EE, if that is different then you need to say.

@s1mps Setup an Ookla account, that will allow both the web and the mobile app if you so wish to install it on your mobile, for looking at what you are doing. Just now from what you have posted so far nothing wrong unless the EE app is fudging your test figures.

https://www.speedtest.net/result/19733575521 This is a laptop test on ookla web version....

https://www.speedtest.net/result/a/11918922878 This was an Android Mobile my Samsung A54 ookla Mobile app version...

Both results were pulled and posted via the web interface ookla and direct from my laptop while logged into ookla.

The EE app test has identified an external issue and an engineer is due to visit today.
