Morning one and all.

I currently have the 1,6gig service, and wondering if there is any news if EE plan to increase the the upload speed.

Kind regards

@Cicada3301 Highly unlikely if you need a higher upload you may just need to shop around if you have another supplier that does symmetrical speed's!

@Cicada3301   Openreach have  been trialling symetrical broadband but so far ISP's have not released dates when they will be able to offer services to the public, have a look at the links in this Google link. https://www.google.com/search?q=openreach+symmetrical+fibre&sca_esv=7059b957e07c44b7&source=hp&ei=ys...

Wouldn't surprise me to see EE taking part in the geographically-limited XGSPON trials next year. Even if a product is launched though, I don't imagine existing 1.6Gbps customers will see any benefit without recontracting/paying for it. XGSPON requires ONT/infrastructure changes and I presume a hub with at least a 10GbE WAN port (which EE doesn't currently have).
