EE TV modem questions

I'm looking at taking up EE broadband and TV on a new FTTP connection.

1.  If I want to use the TV Box Pro, would I have to use the provided EE Smart Hub or could I use my own router instead?

2.  I currently have my own router feeding a complex ethernet network and WiFi mesh.  I don't want the Smart Hub router feeding my own router, giving double NAT problems.  Is there a way I can get a modem only feed from the Smart Hub, perhaps then feeding the TV Box from my own router?

Yes I'd seen that.   I was hoping to know a little more of what options a user will have when logging into the OS.

Thanks for that! Couple of questions

Is WPA 3 available as well as WPA 2?

I couldn't see port forwarding. Is that hidden somewhere?

Port Forwarding is in advanced settings / firewall

Thought it must be somewhere!

Will have to do some hard thinking about what to do next.

Yes, it has WPA3 as well as WPA2. Mine just shows WPA2 cuz that's all I need.

Well I'm now on EE FTTP, still on Sky Stream and looking at EE alternatives.

Have been to the EE shop and seen the TV Pro recorder, which I like and prefer to the Apple box. But I don't want to use the EE hub.  The shop couldn't tell me if that was OK, and there are contrary opinions earlier on this thread.

Does anyone on here actually have a TV Pro running on their own router without the EE hub?

Edit: think I should have posted this in the TV section. Apologies!

Sorry to drag this out, I have to make a final decision before committing to a TV contract.

I'm on EE broadband, using my own router direct to the ONT, so the EE supplied router is still in its box. I'd like to get a TV box pro, but there are conflicting reports as to whether that will work without the EE Hub.

Has anyone actually got this to work?  The family want a recording box, not the streamer.

Thanks for any possible help.

It won't work unfortunately.I have Alien HD router and tried everything. All apps are working ok but you won't get any freeview channels
