EE Smart Hub Plus (SH31B) - Bridge Mode

Hi,

After 6 months of fine service, Im having issues and have identified that there looks to be an issue with my ONT in responding to PPPoED requests as im frequently being dropped form the internet. As im using my own router, EE support will only look at the issue if i use their hub, which i cannot unless its in bridge or non NAT mode due to the nature on my internal network.

Does anyone know how to do this on the EE router as its extremely limited from what i can see in the Admin menu.

Sorry for updating sooner.

Some people here are confusing my issue with running a custom router of the ONT for the EE Fibre service, whereas my issue that is clearly detailed in my original post.

To update, i managed to get the ONT and cables replaced and haven't suffered issues with service dropouts since.

Update: EE Hub removed and cable direct from ONT into the UDMPro is currently working fine.

thanks to everyone for the pointers and reassurance it would work. It seems it does. EE Smart Hub Plus gets to go back in its box.

One other questioned though. I’ve paid for EE TV - please don’t any one tell me I’ll need their Smart Hub.

@NowtAnywhere    re the TV, it will depend if your router supports the protocol used by EE TV, if you ask the question in the TV forum you should get more details - or you could just give it a go.
