EE FTTP query

Basically in a few weeks, I will hopefully be getting 500Mbps FTTP with EE.   However a couple years ago I tried getting FTTP with my old ISP Plusnet, but the Openreach engineer couldn't thread the fibre cabling through the blocked duct.  They have recently managed to thread the fibre cabling through.  If for some other strange reason, my house can't get FTTP broadband again, will I be switched to EE's fastest available FTTC service (up to 76Mbps), and will it cost me less than the 500Mbps service?

Many thanks

Most of the install was done just over 2 years ago, during the first failed installed.  They just couldn't thread the fibre cable to the house because of a blocked duct (which they seemed to have sorted now).

@Rossby Do not rely on any old equipment that was supplied 2 years ago, treat this as a complete fresh install, a lot has moved on in the 2 year period! And with your ISP not being EE who knows what you have supplied now!!

My old ISP is Plusnet.

Update, Install happened yesterday without much of a hitch.  The Openreach engineer managed to use the old equipment from the old install.
