EE FTTP query

Basically in a few weeks, I will hopefully be getting 500Mbps FTTP with EE.   However a couple years ago I tried getting FTTP with my old ISP Plusnet, but the Openreach engineer couldn't thread the fibre cabling through the blocked duct.  They have recently managed to thread the fibre cabling through.  If for some other strange reason, my house can't get FTTP broadband again, will I be switched to EE's fastest available FTTC service (up to 76Mbps), and will it cost me less than the 500Mbps service?

Many thanks

That's up to EE. They are not selling FTTC in areas where FTTP is available.

@Rossby  Do you have FTTC now, with EE or someone else?

Are you in a Fibre only area?

If you enter your phone number, or use the address in the BTW DSL Checker, post the reults hiding your personal info, using a desktop, not mobile version, we should be able to provide more answers.

@Mustrum I have FTTC with Plusnet currently.  I tried to get FTTP with them two years ago, but Openreach couldn't thread the Fibre cabling through (because of a blocked duct).  Anyway, they have seemed to managed to sort out the ducting problem recently and thread the fibre cable through.  The main reason I'm asking is I'm worried something else will go wrong now when they come to do the final stuff on the install date of 12/12.

@Rossby  OK, well I gave you an entry to the crystal ball, but you refused to enter, so we are no further forwards.

So I guess all we can do is wait until the 13th and see how it went.

Sorry, I did try and provide the information all that I thought was needed.  I'm just slightly worried after the failed attempt last time, that something else will go wrong.

@Rossby  But really you did not!

Why did you bother?

@Rossby The OR fibre checker is good at letting you know, then its a check for ISP if the are also supplying as to what you need or would like to get, as if you say that you are through the duct now it is no way a guarantee and @Mustrum advised you. What you think is not going to cut it.

@Mustrum To get help/advice, because that's what I thought a community forum is for.

@JimM11  I'm worried something else will go wrong.  I feel they came off as quite rude.
