EE Captive Portal not loading

Hi, I recently bought the £39 for 30 days of Wifi. It worked for a day on my laptop, and then stopped working afterwards. Every other device I’ve tried using has worked. Essentially, I connect to the Wifi, and it doesn’t redirect me to the log in page, nor does it give me the option to be redirected there. When I try to use the browser, I’m registered as not having any Wifi, and therefore can’t search anything as it claims I’m not connected to the internet. I tried using the mobile data from my phone, and then using the redirect suggested on the website, logged in, disconnected from the Wifi I was using and logged into EE - still no Wifi. Again, everything else works just fine, excluding my laptop.

Asking around on other online forums, I was told that whilst I have an IP, for some reason the Captive Portal isn’t loading. 

If anyone knows how to help, please do. I won’t have Wifi for a month, and £39 is a lot of money. Thank you!

Also having problems getting to the login page. 

htps://ee-wifi.ee.co.uk/home - This site can't be reached - servers IP address could not be reached.

Tried on windows, chromebook and mobile

Stopped working at the end of January 

Very disappointing

Thanks for coming to the community. 

This link should be working for you, could you try clearing cookies and cache and deleting any saved webpage you may have for the EE WiFi access page. If you try and access the Get public WiFi access | Find WiFi hotspots page again does this open for you?

Yes, tried all that. I can access my account.

It's just the EE-WiFi hotspot landing page (https://ee-wifi.ee.co.uk/home)
that doesn't work.

@PaulT1984   both the link you have just posted and the one I posted earlier work fine for me.

Where and what are you trying to connect from?

Have you tried a different browser/device/wifi source?

Did you manage to sort this since I’ve moved over from BT nothing but issues I can’t login at all when outside my house on WiFi pretty useless ?????

I tried this and have had exactly the same issues, I can connect on my Laptop but not on an iPhone or iPad.  

 

I see the hotspot and connect; however it says there is no internet, I try to put the URL into Safari to login however it tells me I am not connected to load the page so I have no option to login.  I have tried on 2 different hotspots and with 3 different Apple devices, all with no success; but can connect on my Windows laptop.

 

I called yesterday but haven't heard back with a resolution.

Welcome to the EE Community

With it effecting Apple devices, do you have iPhone private relay turned on? Have you tried clearing the cookies and cache from Safari and if that does not work, trying to install a separate browser such as Chrome to see if that loads the page ok? 

The EE WiFi team are definitely the best team to contact if the issue is still going on, so I would give them another ring or e-mail if you have not heard from them.

I did try calling and spoke to your colleague, who didn't have a solution and advised that there was nothing more he could do other than tell me to 'keep trying' to open the web page (I've tried hundreds of times over the past few days!) - he then put the phone down on me when I asked for further investigation - it's obviously a common problem that needs to be resolved.  It wasn't an issue previously with BT as I used the BT App which logged me in.

 

Would you please be able to help me?
