I have been on the 1.6 service since it came out but never had the speed they produced a box that can’t even go to that speed to the ont to the modem you will get 1.6 but to the computer only 1 gig as the one they provide is point less for the the 1.6 service now there is a a new Ee box the pro one that only new customers can get now I been paying for 1.6 gig and never had it so how much is the 1gig to the 1.6 service so they have been providing a service which they can’t give now they should have never have had that service out till the pro Ee box came out now and we still don’t have it unless you are a new customer how is that fare it’s not I called Ee they said that they have to get the numbers of all the people that are wanting the new ee pro internet box  now how many months have a paid for the 1.6 but never got it so they should give me back all they months as compensation for not having it and also give all the people that have paid for the service and not receive it I want to have that box as that is the service that they are providing as breach of contract you are paying for a item that they can’t provide you

When is the new hub out for the people that were meant to get it in the first place , It is not fare that they say its only for new customers only so i think EE should give the customers that have been paying for the 1.6 service money back every month that they have not been getting the right speed as now ee know that there smart hub that they gave us at the start they should have waited till the smart hub pro has been released first . So can we see money back for the lost months we had not been getting the service now that would be the right thing to do and also give the existing customers the smart hub pro it first before the new customers

@dimitrious1 : You weren't meant to get it in the 1st place. You got the router that was current, advertised & specified at the time you ordered. You cannot expect upgrades to new routers as they are brought out.

@dimitrious1  But you can achieve over 1Gb via WiFi so actually you are getting the service.   at no point was it sold that you’ll receive over 1Gb via Ethernet.   If you can not achieve over 1Gb via WiFi then you need to look at the devices you’re using and you must also factor in any interference that might affect this within your home and rectify that issue and that’s a you problem not a EE problem to solve.

@dimitrious1 Speed is guaranteed to the router, the service is also shared between both ethernet/wifi and has been proven many times that wireless can max out the connection speed with the correct devices, ethernet gets you up to the 1Gb/s level and you still have plenty headroom for more. If you wish to get the new router/smart wireless then that is another proposition that no doubt EE are currently working on. Hope this helps.

EE 1.6 Gig BB & its router are intended to supply 1.6 Gig bandwidth to a household of many devices sharing the 1.6 Gig between them. It is not aimed at the specialised & rare situation of a single device needing the whole bandwidth continuously. If that's your bag get a specialised router.

I am using the provided router and close to the main router can get full 1.6gbps speed no problem. Further away using few of the WiFi Plus devices I am easily getting 1.1-1.3gbps

@dimitrious1 Of you devices mentioned, they are both wireless connected, what do you have as your ethernet connection? You are aware of the apple wi-fi restrictions i assume?
