Devices not reaching speed

So I've recently updated my broadband, to the 900mb for £53, with a guaranteed minimum speed of 700mb. The speed has improved, but it varies, I check the speed coming from the router and it's claiming 924mb, but I check the speed on my phone and Xbox and it's saying I'm only getting 230mb. The router is in the same room as the Xbox, any ideas? @ALL

@Rwaharp90   How are you checking this speed from the router?  Are you using the speed test via the EE app ?   The speed test via the  EE app will show the incoming speed to the router and the speed from the router to your device that the app is on.     As your also testing this directly on the Xbox how close is the Xbox to the TV ?  The TV can impact WiFi speeds because of the RH it gives off.     Or is the Xbox hardwired to the router?  Have you tested this setup as well?

Hi @Rwaharp90

Your Xbox is is checking the server speed via the Xbox network not your line speed.

Testing over WiFi is also limited to the WiFi limitations.

Thanks
