Cost of plan varies

I've been looking to upgrade to the 900 plan.    If I go through the process as apparently a new customer I can get it (with Landline) for around £31 pm, however it detects that I'm currently a BT customer and get diverted to a BT plan where the same service is about £48 pm.   Why am I unable to order the original plan when I don't see that I get anything more by going through the BT process which is around 50% more per month?

@Snowman1950 All customers off the BT Group are not new customers, this includes BT, EE and Plusnet...

Moving from BT to EE you are considered as an existing customer, with a like for like package and pricing to match also!

Hi @Snowman1950

Move away for 12 months and come back at a cheaper price. Loads of ISPs and deals especially if you use sites like Quidco for cashback.

Thanks
