Control Over Broadband When Away From Home

Since Joining the flight with BT/EE some five months ago stating the fact every day and minute has been like flying in very bad Turbulent air is an understatement.  I’m very disappointed at all three Utilities, I have purchased from BT/EE.  Despite being told that the app is being made better, it hasn’t been working correctly in the five months I’ve been with BT/EE Which is very concerning when to tech Giants can’t come up with an app that works properly and now it appears they’re taking away the functionality of being able to control some functions via the app when you’re away from home.  Is there anyone out there that can help me understand what is going on or what exactly it is that BT EE hope to achieve as far as a working app for their customers to use.

why BT super reliable broadband and you and someone to come inside red concerning the boosting devices and the fact the one that Ivy sent don’t even turn on it’s also very worrying.

@Chipmunk_1  If your on about control of the router when away from home this has never been possible as you need to be connected to the hub to make changes.  The app has to see the hub and it can not do that unless your connected to it.

To contact EE Customer Services dial 150 From your EE mobile or 0800 956 6000 from any other phone.

Good morning @Chipmunk_1

Welcome to the EE Community.

As @Chris_B mentioned, for control over your WiFi you will need to be directly connected to your Hub on the same network.

If you're experiencing other issues though, we definitely want to make sure we've looked into all the options we can to support you with this.

Can you please let me know a bit more about the boosting devices you've received that aren't working?

Are these our WiFi extenders to improve the overall signal in the house, or our Hybrid Connect 4G router for if the main connection goes down?

thanks Peter,  I’m sure I was away from my home and I was looking what was and was not connected to my broadband. I was able to re-start hub which got my ring camera back online.  I’ve been at hospital and staying at my parents house and still a situation of San but on this occasion the camera stay off-line from the 17th of August.   In any event, BT should be making this happen in the app where you can control your devices, Also, those who shows and should not be connected to your broadband as well as the functionality of resetting your hub as this is quite useful allowing The customer to maintain the hub, bro band and devices connected to it.

You should be able to see your devices themselves, like cameras & doorbells, when away from home if they are up & running. This is nowt to do with the EE app but with the devices' own apps. You just can't get into the router itself remotely.
