Anyone else get the continual flashing orange light on the router?
Openreach confirm no issues their end. 6th day straight with no internet
EE accept fault but issue is still ongoing.
Have to complete the following. turn off router - turn off openreach wall mounted kit - turn on openreach wall mounted kit, turn on router. This gets me back online but goes off again within 60-90 mins
Just wondered if anyone else was or did have this issue and if so how was it resolved. I have a new router on its way which EE think will fix the issue

Yep fresh start would be good - will plug it all in and see if it works
If it works then perfect, ill start a thread on how easy it was to close the complaint using the forms and complaints procedure and recap the issues i had
if it doesn't work then EE are in breach of contract so ill be able to leave - Ill do a thread about leaving but will need some help and feedback on who is a good ISP to move to. We only have OR on my street so cant use Virgin. Also have mobile phones that will need to be changed as i have the discount applied to the sim only which are on a rolling contract so pointless paying over the odds for them

I tried the “ONT trick” but it does not work for me. I used the power button on router though, I will double check if the open reach modem has a button.
What’s strange for me is the BT router was working just fine, before plugging through new EE smart hub which never turned aqua and always flashing orange.
Hope it gets resolved for you.

@Alzyaman Got it, had the complete same journey path in March, lucky enough NEVER to have your Orange light oops'y...
Did the phones first gave it a day JIC, and moved the BB day later.

@JimM11 - Thanks Jim and any watchers
update here from the land of orange
Got the kit all out of the boxes and plugged it in - STANDARD FAULT!!!!!! ARRRGGGHHHHH - I hour working time then total failure. I was so down as i knew what a pain all this was. I believed I had to call EE and let them do a test - v strange as they cant see my router and my account has no broadband on. I wanted to follow procedure so booked in another OR engineer to try and sort. Had to go through connections, booked the next available date and went back to the office. Alas EE never booked OR as the appointment was refused and the man in connections didn't check that it had been accepted.
However - on the Friday my better half left the house for work and was greeted by 4 OR sprinter vans who were lifting the external chamber covers on the street - apparently there was an issue at the exchange - they said they would go and investigate and that we would have no broadband for the rest of the day (didn't have it anyway obvs)
Hallelujah - we seem to be online - from Saturday morning it hasn't gone off once - great speeds throughout the house - too fast really for what i need so may look at that
But fingers crossed we seem to be back on track. Apparently all the houses were having issues in our street but we all seemed to think we were the only one - one neighbour even cancelled their ISP and changed. my nearest neighbours are still on copper so had no issues - should have checked further down.
The OR engineer turned up on the Saturday and checked everything and said all was working fine - he said he was local but knew nothing about the issues in the area. he left me a BT router to try so will probably speak to him at some point this week and ask him what the problem was. Ill try and find out and then do one final update when i find out what the fault was. Possibly an intermittent fault
Next one now - try and sort my 4 accounts out and make sure i get the ofcom automatic compensation - will start a new thread for that and link it through

@Alzyaman Wonderful news, OR Fibre fault no doubt and they can be even trickier than copper cable to sort out, had seen a posting that popped up yesterday and your absence for the while, was the first thing that jumped into my head, i would say honestly now they have found it you will not look back, FF500 myself, way over the top but just keeps the wife/daughter at bay and NO more why's the internet so slow AT PRESENT, who knows what the future unfolds....😁👌👍
