Constant Buffering With Streaming Services

I have moved over from BT to EE, So far worst mistake I have ever made.

The buffering while streaming is a nightmare. I am streaming the usual Netflix, Disney and Youtube via my Sky box. I have reset my Smart Hub, tested the connection through the EE app and had them restart my hub. EE state no issues in my area.

Anybody have any suggestions to fix such issue, Its becoming impossible to watch anything.

Hi All,

I changed from BT to EE at the beginning of July.   I have had buffering issues since day 1 and its so irritating and enfuriating.   I didn't have any issues on BT but ever evening constant buffering on EE.

I am currently trying to watch something on iplayer.  It buffers for 10 seconds every couple of minutes.

I'm fed up of calling EE and after doing the speed test and them restarting then tell me its my TV!!! so now i have to change my TV to get basic internet in the middle of london!!?

I sent my BT router back as otherwise they charge me, so i can't try that.

I would like to move back to BT. but i am stuck with this contract.

Has anyone got any other solutions please?

thanks

someone in another thread suggested depowering the fire stick to reboot it. I tried it and the effect was immediate. I also have just switched from BT to EE broadband. Same issue for first 2 days. Now sorted.

I have exactly the same. We have an EE booster box that I pay extra for, still getting constant buffering on Disney, Netflix etc.

All connected via WiFi, not cable, even does it on the iPad now.

never had this with copper BT cabling, waste of money

Hi @Mike38159

Welcome to the community.

Which device are you streaming the services on? If you do a speed test, are the results what you were quoted when you took out your contract?

Chris

Hi

streaming on main tv and now buffering on iPad too.

I’ve run a download speed check, all ok at 522mbps, guarantee was 425mpbs.

EE booster is working ok and connected as is Sky booster box.

thanks

Thanks, @Mike38159

The speeds look good. I recommend speaking with our technical support team, so they can run through some tests with you, and check everything from our side.

Keep us updated with how it goes please.

Chris

@Mike38159 Is the sky booster used for a sky Q system, if so you may have to check that the sky Q is set network wise as a third party network connection, and the Q and Booster are working with each other.
