I have just renewed my contract. I have been asked to return my Hub 6, extender and connectivity backup.
I am being sent a hub 7 pro and extender. Why does my new contract not include a connectivity backup device?
I never actually had to use it but it was a nice safety net.

What's the names of the BB plans you've switched between?

Hi.
Both old and new plans are full fibre 900 ultimate.

There is no Connectivity Backup with Ultimate Full Fibre - See BROADBAND PLANS. You shouldn't have had it in the 1st place.

Im now wondering if it was given as a sweetener to get me to move 2 years ago. So I can keep it for £80 pounds so my question now becomes would the old smart hybrid device be compatible with the new hub 7 pro?

I expect so.

@Neil8568 You can always pay the extra and do it as an addon to your service if you wish, that way EE may allow it over with not too much hassle on the account. See addon's page 9.

In the e mail about returning my old devices I was told I could keep it for £80. So if it is compatible that would seem a cheaper option than £10 per month for 2 years?

@Neil8568 True, hopefully they do not disable the use off it then.

Hey there, @Neil8568
I've had a double check over this one, and whilst opting for the £80 charge would allow you to keep the device itself, to receive the actual 4G backup service you would need to either select a plan that includes this, or add the £10 a month option.
I'd definitely recommend giving our team a call, and that way we can properly look over which option will work best for you here.
