Connected - No Internet Access

Two weeks ago my home network suddenly started showing certain devices as 'connected / no internet access'. It seems to be affecting most devices on the network randomly, including phones (both iPhone and Androids), tablets, the Smart TV and my laptop. Any devices I have connected via ethernet are unaffected, as is my MacBook most of the time.

When these devices show the error, there is nothing apparent that causes it. There is also nothing apparent that allows them to connect again and function normally (for a short time at least). After an initial call with EE they sent me a new router, but that did not fix the issue. After a second call with EE, I was told that 'sometimes these things just happen' and there is nothing further we can do. Oh, but they did try to sell me some range extenders. 🙃

Sometimes I can go days without a single issue, then for no apparent reason the problems start up again. There has been no devices added or removed from the network in recent weeks that coincide with the problem starting.

PLEASE help. This is driving me nuts!

EDIT - I have Essentials Full Fibre 500 and the 'Smart Hub Plus'.

@lukep999 By the sound of how you describe what is going on issue wise, it is looking like a wireless wi-fi signal problem, are you in an area with many properties close to you, would advise you to get a free wifi analyser app and take a look at what is around you, Netspot for android is good, but make your own choice.

Thanks so much for responding Jim. I live in a detached property in a cul-de-sac of around 12 houses. I've downloaded Netspot onto my Android phone and my Mac (the one device that appears to be immune from all these shenanigans somehow) and I just see all of the usual networks in my own and the surrounding houses.

What should I be looking for?

@lukep999 Your signals with Netspot use the WiFi inspector, you need to know all your SSID's, when you are close to say the router, the values on the left will be like a green and say -32dBm, lower numbers are great, higher and orange are not so good,

I think i have posted up some netspot pictures before so will find and link, if not i will attach 3 new from mine. But will also find my Analyser pic's from another that for sure i have posted. Couple off samples take a look see.

Yep, they are green and hovering around -32 to -35 but I still get this.

@lukep999 Have you tried to setup only one device to the compatible network to see how it goes?
