I'm a new customer on the 1.6gbps plan, and this is not my first post on a few technical issues I have found with the service, specifically the performance of the router which will probably quickly push me back into the hands of a 3rd party provider.
This morning I found that the 'compatible wifi' is not quite as compatible as I would like. Specificially I use this network to host my IoT devices (doorbells, lights, etc). Many of these don't require large amounts of bandwidth and can be very picky with wifi channels. For example, things like my older LIFX lights hate channel 13, and pretty much all advanced Wifi 5/6 settings need to be pared back to the most 'compatible' of options. With my old ASUS setup, I managed to keep these things working fine.
Sadly this morning I wake up to find a bunch of lights not working. Clearly there is a big difference between EE's version of compatible and what my devices expect. Is anyone else noting this behaviour?
I'd love to be able to tweak the settings, and even stick in a specific wifi channel for this network, but as many of you will know, EE basically hides all this functionality. Whilst I am sure the hardware allows it, their software shuts this all out. I'm also not sure I can be bothered dealing with customer service on this one as whilst there are some great people in their Belfast broadband team, I fear this won't be solved anytime soon. God knows who they have outsourced the firmware development too either.

@TraderTravel There is a few, but best you find them all out, channel holding and jumping about is one on the + Router, and Pro/Plus fairly well mimic each other feature wise, although the Pro is a little behind the Plus at present! Still CH6 is ok for you as you said earlier.
