What is happening when you try to add your broadband account to your existing login?
If you're getting any errors here, I'd recommend reaching out to our broadband team, and they can look into getting this added at our end.

Have now been in touch innumerable times by phone and web chat. Each time say they will refer up to technical department and get back. No contact and no resolution. Have complained still awaiting response.

I'm sorry to hear that you've had to reach out to us so many times and still don't have a resolution to your query yet. If you have opened a complaint, you can request to speak to a Team Leader over the phone to escalate this higher.
