Can't access wifi controls via the EE app

Hi, I'm wanting to change some of the network device names on the hub. Could do this on my previous BT SH easily, but apparently on the EE Hub it can only be done via WiFi Controls in the app.

But WiFi Controls doesnt work -  just get "We can't load this information - it's our fault"

Do we know when this will be fixed?

Rgds

I have been with EE since 2014/2015 I think and get treated as a new customer too. The only time I have been treated differently, Is when I came in wearing my Hidden disability lanyard (Sunflower lanyard) then I felt like I was actually being treated like an actual person. They still tried to upsell me on mobile plans/extra that I did want/need. Thankfully when they did the credit check I fail it. After that they went back to treating me like a brand new customer but with a really **bleep**ty credit rating.

Sounds par for the course. At one point I was asked to take ID down to the local shop to verify I am who I say I am. I mean, I’ve only been a BT customer for abt 50yrs, and had “triple play” w them for abt 5yrs. 100% credit score, all bills paid on time via DD.

So I go down, lad scans PP, but says I’ve still got to ring 150, as I’m known as Mike (as I have been w BT all along) but my ID shows Michael 🤷🏼

You couldn’t make this sh*t up. Talk about “computer says no”.

Somebody rang today on the BB side. His opening remarks were “I’ve seen your screenshots, and the screen grab video “, then asked me to do the very same steps I’d shown in the clip. And of course, with the exact same results. So he’s going to escalate it.

My advice to any BT customer pondering the jump remains unchanged.

Avoid it at all costs.

Thanks Minkey1, following your advice I shall abandon trying to get my BT supplied EE router switched to EE system, it's working fine and I don't have to use the EE app for it. Doubtless at some stage BT/EE will do something remotely to it and screw it up but meanwhile.....

Hi NH

My first post here described the transition experience as a “curate’s egg” - good in parts.

I haven’t changed my BB plan - it’s still Fibre 900 - but the new router *is* faster in the house over WiFi, and coverage is better, even tho the Extender won’t now connect via WPS. Also, the mini TV box they supplied does improve the kitchen TV.

But the app and their attitude to me on the mobile side has left me disappointed and frustrated, overall, wishing I’d left well alone. I’m still waiting for issues to be resolved.

If what you’ve got works fine with BT, my advice is to leave well alone.
