Can I use a TP-LINK RE 550 1900 wifi extender with my Smart Hub?

I recently git the 1Gbp full fibre and had to relocate my router which means I have poor WiFi signal in my upstairs rooms.  EE unfortunately didn't offer me their Smart wifi as part of my signup and now I am kind of stuck on how to boost my wifi signal. So 2 questions really, 1) does the Smart Hub support OneMesh? And 2) does the Smart Hub work with the TP-LINK RE550 (which is currently on less than half price on Amazon)?

@NatalieBark They do say it takes a few day's for the smart wifi mesh to work itself out to what it is doing etc.

@JimM11 Do you know how/where can I see the IP addresses of the discs? To identify then in the Hub manager?

@NatalieBark Would assume under My network, hub, will show you every device connected, then eliminate the 2 devices by mac address, which you will find detailed on each of the smartwifi labels on the bottom of each unit. Do not use EE as using Asus AI mesh.

1) No at least that's what TP Tether app says but I re-named the TP link devices to my main network and they do work as mesh then 2) Yes it does

@JimM11 nope... like I have several devices with some weird letters and I checked MAC addresses on the discs and they are not anything like the HUB shows... and unfortunately there are 4 like this, 1 has 0 bites, so ok, but 3 of those weird ones with mo match...

@NatalieBark Why don't you just take the 2 EE Smartwifi boxes down to the router, plug the ethernet cable from Router to the Smartwifi device, look on the hub manager and you will see it connected on the lan port, will give you IP and mac address. You can do them one at a time and just write down the values you find.
