Recently upgraded from BT Full Fibre to EE 1 GB broadband; speeds at Hub are great still browsers are taking excruciatingly long to load any page. Tried clearing cache and cookies, no joys.
Any recommendations greatly appreciated

It is same / similar on several wired ,achines, Lenove laptop ( not checked what adaptor in that 0 and 3 ASUS motherboard based PC's . Including a Sabretooth 990FX and a Asus Prime x470 Pro
This PC - the Sabretooth m/b has adaptor Name [00000009] Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller ethernet 802.3.
X470 is Intel I211 Gigabit again ethernet 802.3
Same happens on the other newer Asus based PC on AX wifi
Dunno if that helps?

@Bert007 thanks, yes it helped, if it had just been one example I would have suggested try another, so now I suggest trying a different router if you can get hold of one - even if you could borrow something for a short time.
You mention an Asus router, which model, how is that connected - sorry not sure what you mean.

It is 06/08/2025 and this problem was happening on my BRAND NEW EE ROUTER.
Here is how you fix this - which is a problem with EE DNS server being awful so you need to tell the router to use a different DNS server (use DDNS). Firstly we need to get one .. which is easy and they're free ..
1) Go to https://www.noip.com/
2) Get an account (free)
3) Go to Dynamic DNS (DDNS).
4) Choose to create a 'new group'. (free)
5) Choose a user_id - the system will tell you a password and all the other details you'll need to put into the router. Note them down.
6) Log into your router, admin (or advanced settings - then broadband), DNS, Dynamic DNS. Select 'Yes' for dynamic dns.
7) Put in all the details you now have from noip - select noip as the provider, press save
Problem 100% solved. Remember changing the DNS on your windows will do nothing and is pointless. You have to change it on the router.

You can now choose your own DNS on the latest f/ware of the SH+ & you won't need to employ a DDNS for this purpose.

This does nothing for DNS from your devices out to the Internet. DDNS is for connecting to things behind your router when you’re out and about. Has to be a coincidence 🤔

Yes I have looked and I can't figure out any way to delete or even edit my previous post but IT WAS WRONG (after further experimentation) and I can only apologise.
