Browsers extremely slow

Recently upgraded from BT Full Fibre to EE 1 GB broadband; speeds at Hub are great still browsers are taking excruciatingly long to load any page. Tried clearing cache and cookies, no joys.

Any recommendations greatly appreciated

Same problem here with the SH+

Do you still have the SH2 (given you've gone from BT > EE) - it should be better than the current situation? Or have you had to return it?

Returned the BT Smart Hub, it was working absolutely fine

Consider getting another Smart Hub 2 (Plusnet Hub 2 would also be fine if that's cheaper) from eBay - I tried to get EE to send me one but they wouldn't (but you can try - say your SH was better than the SH+).

Alternatively a third party router (hopefully someone else will come along with some suggestions, but would look at TPLink and ASUS). It's quite simple to set up (done it on my laptop already for testing purposes) - if you choose this route, you'll need the PPPOE details from this page: https://ee.co.uk/help/broadband/getting-started/using-and-configuring-a-third-party-router

Same problem.  Speed measures OK ( 900 mbs full fibre ) on some speed tests, over 920 on seperate Asus router andd/l speeds for Playstation games or nvidia drivers on PC are great.

Webpages are SLOOOOW ... spinning the circle for 10 seconds or more and maybe not coming up at all.  A X ( stop ) and refresh on tool bar and Voila! there they are , very fast!

Cat 8 Ethernet cable from PC to hb ( or router in trials ) , no VPN in use, using both BT ( or EE ) DNS and Google DNS as 2nd, no QOS set to throttle browsing speeds etc. Hub firewall on.

Latest firmware on Hub+.

EE tested my line when I complained and "found a problem" ( was a new12 month old BT full fibre line/ONT! ) and refused any more tests or to send an engineer just sent ANOTHER Hub!  Even older than the one that came when I moved to EE !!  Needed firmware update immediately!

Guessing something is holding up DNS request and/or response whether BT/EE DNS or Googles,

Any ideas?
