I am trying to upgrade our broadband but have been told EE can't give us a landline. We are currently with EE and have a landline with them. They have offered us a BT package which is slower broadband and £10 more expensive. I can't understand why they can't give us a landline if we upgrade? If we stayed on the package we are on without upgrading we can have the landline??
Anyone else have this problem? Please advise

Ah, OK! You can't get Full Fibre (FTTP) there, so EE can't offer you its latest BB packages with digital landline.
In fact there is no upgrade path for you. You have the fastest BB you can get there, 80 Meg VDSL. Stay with what you've got & keep your copper landline.

@LIWI : If you upgrade your BB, EE can no longer give you a copper landline like you have but should be able to give you a digital landline, cuz new copper landlines are no longer being sold with their switch off come 2025.
What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post just the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker.

Thank you for this. So I guess we will have to wait till they upgrade the BB in our area.

We were told we could get Fibre Plus and unlimited calls on a landline for £10 a month less than what we were paying now but when they tried putting it in the system they said they couldn't give us the landline.

You already have Fibre Plus with a landline. You may be able the increase your calling plan on the existing landline but it will be at a higher cost. It's only an add-on to your BB, not an upgrade. What calling plan do you have at the mo'?

We haven't upgraded for about 7 years so we have a great calling plan - free calls to landlines and mobiles and free International calls to 40 destinations. They can't take this off us, even though they don't offer this any longer because we haven't upgraded. It seems if we upgrade to better broadband, apparently we were told we only have basic broadband, then we have to give up our landland as EE are not able to provide us with a landline, or change to BT for an even higher price! We have to decide if we still need a landline or not.
