Broadband

I've not had broadband at home for over 24 hours. They were sending an engineer out tomorrow but I had to cancel, the number they gave me to call back (automated text) was for Plusnet! How do I now rearrange an engineer to come out, can anyone help. I've sent text but after a couple of texts I've not heard anything.

Thanks in advance

@Lisburngirl  Who’s your BB with?  If it’s PlusNet you need to call them.  This forum is for EE customers not PlusNet customers these are two different companies.

I'm with EE and EE sent me an automated text to book an engineer. When I called the number it was Plusnet

@Lisburngirl   best to give the a call.

From your previous problem post:

@Lisburngirl   there are lots of steps in the following Help page:

https://ee.co.uk/help/help-new/broadband-and-landline/home-broadband/how-can-i-fix-my-home-broadband...

Also options here to report a fault https://ee.co.uk/contact-ee/technical-support/broadband-landline

Or just ring 0800 079 8586 option 3.

Thanks

Welcome to EE's Home Broadband Forum.

What lights are showing on the router?

What does it say after you log into the router:

  • For a BrightBox: in the Internet section on the initial Status page or
  • For a Smart Hub: on the Advanced Settings > Broadband > Internet page?

Obscure your names & any digits in the BB Username but post the 1st 2 parts of the (Broadband) IP address. This might tell us at which stage EE have got to.

Is this for ADSL BB or Fibre? Which router, BrightBox 1 or 2 or Smart Hub?

Does the landline phone work? Do you get a dial tone? Does it announce your correct no. when you dial 1470 17070?

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.
