Hello all,

I've been told I can use the EE Smart router on Plusnet FTTP (EE show that if you purchase the smart router) however I can't seem to work out how to change the broadband username and password, am I missing something really simple?

Thanks

You changed the BB Username & Pwd on the Advanced Settings > BB > Internet page.

If you think I helped please feel free to hit the "Thumbs Up" button below.

To phone EE CS: Dial Freephone +44 800 079 8586 - Option 1 for Mobile Phone & Mobile Broadband or Option 2 for Home Broadband & Home Phone

ISPs: 1999: Freeserve 48K Dial-Up > 2005: Wanadoo 1 Meg BB > 2007: Orange 2 Meg BB > 2008: Orange 8 Meg LLU > 2010: Orange 16 Meg LLU > 2011: Orange 20 Meg WBC > 2014: EE 20 Meg WBC > 2020: EE 40 Meg FTTC > 2022:EE 80 Meg FTTC SoGEA > 2025 EE 150 Meg FTTP

Hi,

I can get to that page no problem and see the username and password but there is no option to change it. I can't click on it or edit it in anyway. Does it have to be done via a certain medium (pc, android etc?)

Thanks

You should be able to change them as you've logged in.

I have logged in via 192.168.1.254 and then entering password when asked, should i be doing something different ?

No, that's the correct way to get into the Advanced Settings & change things there.

I think I've found a work around, if I click and hold on the word Broadband while using Firefox browser a box appears allowing me to change the two fields and save. Very strange why it would be this way.

Thanks for your replies.

Most peculiar! Never known it to want to do that & I use  FF on it all the time.

Thanks! You're welcome 🙂 ! Glad I could be of assistance & trust it is now sorted.

Hello SuperJC, I have ran into the same issue and tried your method of clicking and holding on the word broadband but it seems to just bring me into the broadband page.. I also then tried the same method with the other words on the next page but it seemed to just highlight them? Any help would be great

Hello,

Im sorry its been a while since Ive been on here. I cant really suggest anything as it seemed like a fluke the first time. Try different browsers and devices ? Ive just tried and it wouldn't let me edit yet it has my plusnet details. Its worked for like 17 months.

If you work it out let us know
