Broadband renewal offer

My current broadband contract expires on 13 June 2026. I have received an email from EE stating  if I renew now and before 31 March 2026  I’ll get another 24-month discount on EE Broadband. What’s more, if I recontract my EE Broadband now they will freeze my current price until 31 March 2027. I have tried to renew my contract but unable to secure my current price. The price indicated is the standard increase price of £3 on annual renewal. Has anyone else had this problem?

@Molineaux You are the only one to post so far with the issue, Price would be the one advertised is that the issue?

This is the text of the message. I currently pay £29.99 but when I try and renew the price increases to £32.99. I have spoken to EE but they were unable to help and suggested I ask on this forum.

You’ve still got time, but it flies when you’re busy. So, here’s your sweet early renewal deal. It’s quick and easy to do, so renew now and you’ll get another 24-month discount on EE Broadband.

What’s more, recontract your EE Broadband now and we’ll freeze your current price until 31 March 2027.

Act fast though. You only have until 31 March 2026 to lock this in.

While you’re renewing your broadband, don’t forget to check out your personalised TV and Mobile deals too.
Renew now

If you choose not to do anything right now, your broadband won’t be interrupted. However, you’ll lose your current discount when your contract ends.

...I have just tried to renew again. I am asked to regrade my package but that would mean an increase in price. I don't want any extras because I am happy with the package that I have.

@Molineaux Although you are paying the price now on 1st April you will be paying that + the £3 increase applied, so not sure if that applies to EE, have not seen them advertise to lock prices at all!

The email is very clear -  "What’s more, recontract your EE Broadband now and we’ll freeze your current price until 31 March 2027". When I spoke to Customer Service they said they would refund the increase in my charges and have noted my records accordingly. I have renewed by contract - within the deadline of 31 March.  Let's see if they honour their promise of a refund of the extra charges when my contract renews on 1 April.

@Molineaux That's all you can do, keep an eye on it and trust that it has been done to your satisfaction, hopefully you get some follow up e-mails saying so.
