I want to turn the wifi off as my son games all night, can we do this through the router? If so how?

Login to it at 192.168.1.254 with the admin password on the slider label and go to Advanced > Wireless Settings and turn off WiFi (both bands if necessary).

@Marble2468 whilst it is easy enough to switch the WiFi off, a factory reset on the router will return it to working again.
I wonder how long it will take your son to work that out, or even to get the login details from that little tab/label and turn it back on again.
The latest announced routers have additional controls - some will cost you more - but it may be worth finding out more info from the Broadband Care Team should the above happen.

You don't leave router's creds at default when you hath others in house who may mess with it.
