Broadband drops out most days, similar time

EverydayDropout

Hi

At least 3 or 4 times per week broadband drops out for 1 to 5 minutes.

Usually between 9pm and 10pm. Can be at other times.

Never every day, not exactly the same time.

Any thoughts on why this happens, what to do, or similar experiences?

Thank you

@EverydayDropout   Hi. That could be down to any number of things, but first could you let us know a few more details?

What service do you have, is it Full Fibre or via your phone line?

Is the problem just with WiFi or also ethernet?

Do you notice what the lights on the router and/or ONT do when the problem occurs?

If you still have a phone line is there noise on the line - dial 17070 option 2 ?

Have you contacted the Broadband Care Team?

@Mustrum

Hi - we have Fibre Plus Broadband without Landline. Just Wi-FI.

We only use Wi-FI.

The router has had a solid orange light and flashing orange - then it goes back to Aqua.

Becasue the fault tends to happen after 9pm, I keep forgetting to contact the Care Team. Today it was just taking ages to get hold of them, and the automated text service (you know, text Help to 66033) wasnt able to link my mobile number to my account - even though it is the number in my profile and ll paperwork - and went nowhere.

Thank you for responding.

@EverydayDropout   you could always give them a call on 0800 079 8586 option 2, although it has been know to change.

Depending on how many drop outs are happening they may send out an engineer, but they should be able to see how many drops you are having.
