TV box keeps disconnecting and re-connecting to hub even though it has a wired connection. I have tried re-booting, and resetting, both pieces of equipment but issue still happens randomly.

@chrispen2 What make off TV box and which EE Hub?

Is it an EE Tv Box (Pro or Edge) ?

It's the Pro

@chrispen2 Hard to see what the Pro box has Ethernet spec wise, but do see it has a yellow connector on it so just going to make the assumption that it has a 1Gb/s Ethernet interface, first step when it happens again, DO NOT switch anything off, just take one end off the Ethernet cable of Either the hub/pro TV box, wait 30 seconds then pop the cable back on and see if the system reconnects. You have yet to say what EE Hub you have so try if possible to match connections ie 1Gb/s Ethernet between both, some off the higher spec EE Hubs do have 2.5Gb/s Ethernet ports on them for Lan connections.
If you do happen to have a spare Ethernet cable worth giving it a go also.
@DarrenDev Are you aware of any TV Pro box Ethernet disconnects as above. Jim

I have the Pro & the Edge, now i have has issues with both if on wireless 2 things the boxes occasionally seemed to randomly drop the wireless connection & on inspection for some strange reason they were not able to see or pick up any wifi signals a reboot would usually enable proper WIFI scanning again & connection , the other thing was random dropouts in the streamed channels but this was due to it being multicast & multicast does not play well with packet loss that can occur with WIFI.
All my issues went away on both Pro & Edge with an ethernet cable , On both of them its a 1Gb interface so as @JimM11 is pointing out here its ether an issue with the Port or possibly a problem somewhere in the cable & also as pointed out are you using an EE hub ? that can be important with EE Tv boxes , mine are in 2.5Gb ports as i have the Pro but i did have the Plus & had one of them in the 1Gb port & one in the 2.5Gb port , i dont really think it makes a difference TBH but try what Jim has suggested & or Also change the cable , try to use something like a cat 5e & above ethernet cable for full 1Gb speeds to the box.
Also when you set up the connection for the Pro box did you set up an "automatic" connection ? , thus you did not try to set up a "static" type connection ?

@baron75mk3 Would have thought the EE Supplied cable for the TV Pro Ethernet connection was a Cat5e anyway, but possible it was not long enough and had to be replaced, I always have a tendency to use a 2.5Gb/s port on a switch that allows the port to run full speed backwards rather than it having to negotiate back to 1Gb/s then failing there and falling back to 100Mb/s that the port may just not like. Good to see your Hub/TV is all working well ports wise.👍

Yeah forgot it actually comes with a supplied cat5e , also if you need a longer run if you are having issues EE will send you a 10M cat5e free of charge , when i explained to them my multicast issues were only fixed by using a cable they sent me 2 of them one for my Pro & 1 for my Edge.

The hub I have is the Smart Hub 7 plus, which was supposed to be the be all and end all of all the hubs.
But, subsequently, I have found that my home phone has also been affected so, I am thinking that, maybe, the issue was linked to the full fibre side of the set-up.
Anyway I am hopefull that now all is ok as I haven't had the issues for a while.

@chrispen2 Not sure were you got that idea from as it is nowhere near that, getting there and again in the throws of another FW update as published. SH35A when you look at the link.
