So I recently switched my full fibre broadband from Plusnet to EE. My service went live on 02/03/26 and i paid my first bill on 11/03/26. 2 days before this, on 09/03/26 I received an email from EE saying my broadband bill would be going up? I expected an increase from 31 March 2027 but surely not this year, especially after less than 1 month into my contract. Does this sound correct or have they made a mistake?

@Mufc1984 It will be going up on the 1st April 2026, EE did not have a freeze on the yearly increase as some ISP's do for anyone joining just before the increase is due.

Hello @Mufc1984 ,
Welcome to the community,
I would suggest speaking to the billing team and see what they have to say, as it may be an error on their part, as you have just joined EE, they are best to take a look for you.

If the date of the otder was before Marxh 1st it's correct & to be frank if it was how did you miss it as it's made very clear

With all due respect I think you’re totally wrong. I’ve got an email which clearly states my contract starts when the service is activated. That would be 02/03/26.

@Mufc1984 If it helps below, but have you talked to anyone at EE CS yet? Please also bare in mind as a Plusnet Customer you are already part off the BT Group off companies so different rules may also be applied as you are NOT a new customer in the eyes off the BT Group!

Yes I have and the guy wasn’t very helpful at all. He didn’t really make any effort to look into it and just said it’s policy to increase everyone’s price which I don’t think is correct. I’ve logged a complaint now anyway so I’m sure I’ll get a phone call in the next few days.
Thanks.

@Mufc1984 Good luck with it, a few companies have done the come join us now and we will keep the price at X until Mar31st 2027 but have not seen EE do that at all.👍
Edit:- if it helps from the EE Site just now but I am NO longer an EE Customer, quit them 11months into the 24 Month contract to get out asap...

With all due respect please check your order date. It goes by order date not start date. If it was ordered prior to march 1st your email which you state you have will.mention the increase this year
