I'm writing this today as I've been without broadband now for nearly 3 weeks. To date I have been sent a total of 3 routers and they all do the same thing... Nothing. I've also had 2 engineers out and there's nothing wrong internally or externally with the network. The second engineer told us that there is a problem with the routers that ee have right now. After our original router had an update at 4am - the connection was lost and no replacement can connect. The advisor also said that an internal email has gone around EE to say about this, but they keep sending out dodgy routers to fix the problem.. I'm at my wits end - we've had no Internet for nearly 3 weeks.. Anyone else have this problem?

@Stev25 Could you let me know what router you have and what firmware version it has?
Go to http://192.168.1.254/ and look at the status page.
Don't believe that the routers are dodgy, however there may be a faulty firmware update.
Are you on FTTP if so you will have an ONT where the fibre cable enters, with a network cable plugged into it connected to your router. Do you have three green lights on the ONT?

3 green lights on the box on the wall for the fibre.
I'm at work at the moment, but we're on 500mb full fibre with the big black router..
I'll check the address from the link in your post when I get home..

You were asked for the initial Status page not the Tech Log. The former reports the status of the BB connection the latter only facts about the router.

I'm surprised not to see a WAN Link Speed entry.
On FTTP a disconnected SH+'s Status should look like:

@Stev25 No problem without that aid there is no way to check ont onward to ee connection.

- Broadband hub stopped working in Mobile Broadband
- Phone extension sockets, Digital Voice and broadband speed in Broadband & Landline
- Smart Hub constantly dropping connection in Mobile Broadband
- No broadband connection in Broadband & Landline
- Why my ee app pair and connect to my smart hub? in Broadband & Landline
