It'll be much the same as all the other BT-based ISPs. They use the same infrastructure.

What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker estimate for your phone number? Post just the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your phone number. If it doesn't recognise your phone number or you don't have one, use the Address Checker.

I recently switched from Sky FTTP to EE FTTTP and am really pleased that I did. I get a better service than previously and at a much cheaper price. There is also the additional benefit of a mobile data boost for my phone.

EE Broadband is very similar to that provided by BT so has a same level of performance. The only downside for me so far is the router which is provided in white. Would much prefer to have one in black!!

@wgwright : Ask CS for the black Smart Hub. Either will work with FTTP.

I wasn’t aware that there was an option for a black smarthub! Is there a cost for this at all?

It's not an official option but you could try it. EE supplies the white Smart Router with FTTP & G.Fast BB. EE supplies the black Smart Hub with VDSL2 BB.

@XRaySpeX I’ve spoken to EE and been told that unfortunately the black smart hub is not compatible with FTTP

@wgwright  proably just as well, the black smart hub is not as powerful as the white smart hub, and you may have run into performance issues.

That's not true. Practically any router will work on FTTP. It does not need to act as a modem as that is provided by the ONT.

There is very little, if any, difference between the power of the 2 Smart routers.
