Beok heating wifi thermostat controller

Hi Not sure if anyone can help! Just switched from BT router to a EE one.

I have a Beok heating thermostat which I (eventually!) got connected to the app on my phone on the old BT router but can not get connected with the new EE one.

I've set up the compatible wifi so have disabled the 5ghz but this won't connect either.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated!

thanks

@Mouse71 The dash and the - are allowed symbols, but sometimes devices do not like or the channel selected etc length off password, what did you have on the old BT if you have already messed about and reset the stat then it will have nothing, if not program the compat with what you had on the BT router ssid/password and it more than likely will connect!

@Mouse71 What do you have set for the wireless, would do WPS2-PSK as the start if it is not set that way, and try to make sure name has no dash or underscore etc -comp _comp.

Also make sure that your phone is connected to the same ssid when you do the setup!

thanks so much for replying

I have it set to WPA2-Personal only seem to have this option and WPA-WPA2 - Personal

I did have a dash after the name so have removed that.....but still no luck connecting 😞

Have a dash after EE-  ......should I remove that too?

Yes have the phone connected on the same compatible wifi too - but thanks for reminder

I might buy a newer replacement controller......in the hope that solves the issue!

I ended up buying a new Beok thermostat controller and it connected straight away!

My partner tried the old one at home - he's with virgin media and it worked fine with her router!

Hey ho, £40 for a new controller but at least its all working - thanks for your help
