We have been moved from bt to ee and now have digital home phone, which is fine until there is a power cut. My husband does not have a mobile phone so would be unable to contact me if there is a problem during a power cut. I mentioned this to one of the guides when we first set everything up, and they said they would put a note on our account, but offered no solution! He does not have any disability to be 'vunerable', but we would like to know how we can get some sort of backup for the phone so he's not isolated in a power cut - I do have a mobile, but am seldom home.

They were out of stock! Now in stock, but why should we have to pay? I did read that those who had no mobile signal got one free - well, my husband has no mobile which is just the same, especially as he is housebound .
Can't afford battery back up, so will just have to hope we don't have power cuts, and if we do, my husband had better not need to get in touch with me 😠

@Mumsy53 If you consider that your husband at present is vulnerable then register his status with EE CS.

Hi EE gave me a Battery back up, but will only last for about ahour, also do you have solor panel and batteries has i has my battieries conected to the broad band to give power to the phone line but give EE a ring they cannot leave you with out phone line also i was told that they can leave the old copper line in just one phone to use for emergence , and the fibra for the broadband ,
