Just to draw a line under what I’ve described as “My Descent into the Depths of Despair” - otherwise known as transferring from BT to EE - I’m 97% there, and accepting that’s as good as it’ll get.

Unlike many, I find the SH+ router an improvement over the BT SH2 I had before. Both delivered 900 to the router, but the EE box provides better WiFi coverage in the house, including the ability to print to a different floor, which I could never do before.
WIFI Controls were fixed after a CEO Complaint. £50 compo.

TV
Paying £1pm more, but NF now has ads. Rarely use the (originally BT) Pro box, as we don’t record much anymore. The Mini box was useful with the non smart kitchen TV, but anything to do with C4 on it has started a nagging login request, so we never switch it on. Left paying for basic NF and Now. Doubtful we’ll renew. We’ll go direct to the services, as we do with Prime and Apple TV+

SIMs only
The biggest bone of contention. Oct to Apr to sort out, via the lad in Executive Complaints whose-name-we-dare-not-speak. The puffer and panter, with little jokey asides, as if we’re bessies (reader; we’re not). If you know, you know. Both SIMs now in the main app, and I can access their accounts. Hurrah.
When he rang to advise this had been achieved, I specifically asked him if this meant they’d be included in the 1 bill, as I’d had w BT. He said it would, and I confirmed that discussion point in an email.
Transpires they’ll still be billed separately, defeating the point of porting them from BT for simplicity. Further £30 compo, on top of an earlier £30, so overall £110 since Oct. I’d have rather not had the aggravation, but there it is.
On the plus side, the amalgamation means we’re now on “EE One” (🤷🏼) which apparently means for our £8 ea pm (.plus the April increase) we’re now on Unlimited Data, with a 100meg throttle.
Disappointed on the billing, but life’s too short.

So long as it all works, I’ll leave it at that.
