I have recently transferred from BT to EE and had a credit balance on my BT account will this automatically transfer over to my EE account ?

i had credit with bt it was over £300 they said they would send me a check i got one for £40.

Having been though the very same process, you will receive a letter from BT informing you how much they will refund you and how they will refund it. In my case to my bank.
BT will refund you any overpayment which in my case was what I had overpaid based on the day my contract with EE commenced.
This will happen automatically without you needing to do anything.
You should receive the letter from BT around 5 working days from re-contracting with EE.
