I moved from BT to EE a while back & I still cannot 'Set up WiFi Controls' via the EE app. When I select this option, the app just spins and nothing ends up loading for it.
Is this still an issue with me still technically being on a BT router? EE sent me out their own router but they confirmed this would not work my original BT WiFi disc.. and they wanted to charge me for their new EE disc replacement. So I refuse to pay for something I got for free at the time and I need the WiFi disc.
So trying to work out if this is a known issue or if it still should work? I am inclined to think that I should be able to setup the WiFi controls no matter what.

Well, they sent me a EE router, but WiFi Controls didn’t work for me either.
It formed part of a global complaint to the Executive.
A tech did something and got it working.
BT. 1 app, 1 account, 1 bill. Everything worked. 🤷🏼
Good luck.

Thanks for the reply Minkey1,
Looks like I will need to put some pressure on then to get it sorted!

@KingCraigx - I'd warrant a guess that there's a good chance it doesn't work because you're not using the hub the EE systems 'think' you should be using.
Do you have similar problems if you try setting up the WiFi Controls with the EE hub? Recognise you don't want to use it but the results would probably help answer your question.

Worth a try, tho I returned my BT hub and used the EE SH+ from day 1 and it wouldn’t work for me till a tech fixed it remotely.

I have had an update via their support chat through the EE app. They have confirmed that because I am still using my BT Smart Hub 2, this is not compatible with the EE WiFi control.
As annoying as that is, it does make sense I guess. Shame im stuck between having to use the BT router since I need my BT wifi discs to work still.
