I have recently switched my BT contract to a full works EE contract with broadband, mobiles & TV (& currently wishing I hadn’t) The EE TV is nowhere near as good or easy to use as Sky but more of an annoyance is that our WiFi seems to keep dropping out & the signal not as strong. We had 3 white BT WiFi Extenders previously. I have now bought 2 more (although struggling to get them linked) & wondered if there was any way to link the hub & 5 extenders up (with 2 different network names & passwords) to improve my WiFi please? Hope someone technical out there can help. Thank you 🙂

It will depend on which HUB you have been sent. If you have been sent on the the Hub Plus pieces of kit (4 yellow ethernet ports on the back - plus the red one) then the old BT ones will not be compatible and you would need to contact EE for a add on to get the boosters for your WIFI after they have ruled out any other potential causes.

@SmithyCross The white home smart wi-fi modules have there own setup app for control, so you need to use that for everything. It has also been posted many many moons ago that although those specific modules are meant to work with any customer router, they have an issue working with the Smarthub+, now this was many many FW updates ago so give it a little time, to see how it all goes. As the units are designed to mesh network not sure if you can/could have (2 off) with separate ssid names and passwords you need to see if the app for those allows it, but sure that 5 off in use is ok.
The dropout as you say may be the symptom that was previously posted, it is well over a year ago but will try to search and if i do find will link to it below. The outcome was OP that posted had EE supply the Smart wireless plus versions and think it cured his issue completely.

@SmithyCross Have kept it separate so easier to locate and look at, link is below.
Broadband constantly dropping - The EE Community
The EE Smarthub+ with the new FW has a compatible network feature, i would 100% set that up and use the Whole Home wi-fi disk's attached on that network to span your whole home and see if they like it better on that....
You will certainly have 2 network names, just not sure about 2 different passwords, NO longer an EE customer so cannot look as i have sent back the router to them...

Hey JimM11
Thanks for replying. Could you be more specific about the set up app that I need for the smart WiFi modules you refer to please.
Really appreciate your input
