Installed the EE router to replace the BT Smart Hub. I have a mesh network with a primary disc that is hardwired into the EE Hub.
Every couple of days, all devices in the house disconnect. Hub is running normally and my hardwired PC has no difficulty accessing the internet.
The only solution is to restart the primary disc, which makes everything else reconnect.
And that is not very good.

@alanw77 which BT extender models do you have?
Did they do the same with the BT Router?
Do you still have the BT Router?
What EE Broadband service do you have?

BT Whole Home WiFi
No, they didn't.
No, I don't have the BT Smart Hub, because had I not returned them, I'd have got charged and EE hassled me almost daily for it.
Service: Full Fibre Gigabit.

@alanw77 It has been reported a few times now on the Forum that there is some kind of issue with stability on the BT Whole Home wi-fi product, so not sure what you can do about it, those that have had the issue appear to just replace the unit's, although they are designed and should work with any ISP supplied router.
If you can web interface to the EE Smarthub+ http://192.168.1.254 have a look on the My Network when working, see that the unit is connected to the Ethernet port, when not working does it disappear from that view as not connected. Then just try to remove the Ethernet connection from the primary mesh unit, give it 30 seconds plug back in and wait a minute for reconnection Ethernet wise, and see if it recovers. If all fails, then just reset the primary mesh again and post back.
You could if possible check with the Mesh BT Software that you can see and connect to the system if that is also able to be done.

This is basically my problem, too. WiFi drops for all my disks and I have to restart the primary. So now I've had to order a long ethernet cable to wire in my work laptop, to stop dropping out of meetings.
I knew there had to be a catch when BT Sales offered this service.

@alanw77 Did anything from the other post do any good when replied?

The hub reconnects when I power the primary disc off and back on again. I don't have time to go in and check the admin on the router, though I suspect that it is simply not connecting to the hub. It's connecting to ethernet because my hardwired device is communicating through ethernet without a problem. And I've checked from the mesh side and the discs just don't have a connection.
Though even in this case it takes an age to connect after having powered up the system from sleep, which again wasn't the case with BT.
I will now have to connect other essential devices through RJ45 straight into the EE Junk Router. I may even have to take a retrograde step and use homeplugs!
My experience with EE has always been terrible and the fact that they can supply this garbage that won't work with a mesh network that was working perfectly shows they have no intention of improving.

@alanw77 You would be far quicker to just get a 2nd hand or new BT Smarthub2 and put that back on!

Indeed Jim. That's exactly what I'm looking into.

@alanw77 Just watch, not sure if you have landline DV connected in anyway! Do not have the requirement for any of the fancy things that the newer EE router can do as your MyBT account will be shut...
