I have just been moved to EE under a new contract, as I need my phone moved to 5G, they told me to do the broadband at the same time as they are all one company.. now they are sending a new smart hub plus.. but I use BT discs and they are not compatible! But I can pay 10 a month for extenders! I feel ripped off now! I will send the new hub back and keep using my old one.. is this going to be OK? Really feel ripped off here. Can I revert contract?

I think ill be keeping the Hub2 as well, and invest in a DECO set up at some point, replacing it, I have FTTP, so its VDSL

@Websponge Your covered with that so far, better to set up your EE Router if you are going to use it before you go live with it.

No, Im sticking with the HUB2 for now, as I have the black disks, when I am ready to get a new router, Ill use a 3rd party, not this piece of rubbish! 😉

FTTC is VDSL, FTTP uses an ONT as the modem - the first is delivered over a telephone line, second a fibre cable.

Yes it was a typo! I have FTTP with the ONT

All those 3 may be managed by the SH+'s GUI.

I’ve gone over to we sent we box but still got bt hub. Can I still use the bt WiFi discs

@Harkerfishing54 : If you're still using the BT SH2 both types of BT WiFi discs still continue to work with them. It's only if you were using the EE SH+ that only the white BT WiFi discs will work.
