Part of the EE Broadband deal was to get 2 BT Broadband booster discs and a visit from an engineer to optimise the Broadband in our house , heard nothing about either of them??

Do you have an EE router? Which 1? If you have not all BT WiFi discs work with it?

Welcome to the Community, @RickStevens
When was it that your broadband went live, and did you receive a brand new EE Hub?
Your initial installation will be completed by an Openreach engineer, but this is separate to the personal setup options that we offer.

@Peter_W : An Openreach engineer wouldn't be optimising the Broadband within the home, as stated in OP, would he, but only optimising the Broadband to the home? I had assumed the eng. mentioned in the OP was an EE Guide Home Visit.

That's correct, @XRaySpeX.
Whilst the Openreach engineer would check the overall service is working, any optimisation of WiFi within the home and additional devices like extenders would come from an EE Guide Home visit.
