Apple Airplay Wi-Fi connection issue

Hi,

my airplay connection to a small hifi unit has started glitching - it drops the connection for a few seconds then works again, then drops again, over and over.  Is anyone else experiencing this or have a suggestion to fix?

more detail….this has worked fine for almost a year now, and this problem started around two weeks ago.
I have several iOS devices, and this happens with all of them.
The problem doesn’t occur if I airplay to a Sonos device or Apple TV unit.
I have done a factory reset on the hifi unit, and reset the Wi-Fi connection.  But that didn’t fix it.   The unit sits maybe four feet from the router.

I have also done a router reset.  All to no avail.  This is driving me mad!   Has anyone else seen this?  Cheers. Mike

@Mikegf04 What make is the Airplay Hi-Fi unit, if everything else is working, why do you suspect it is an EE Router issue?

You are the first IOS / Airplay etc, posting with issue, did it co-inside with a IOS software update, or possibly a EE FW update to the router, IOS you will know about, EE will have to get you take a look see on the router.

For the EE side, what router do you have, picture link below if you need to look see.

Hi.  It’s a Marantz mcr 611.  It’s worked perfectly with airplay for years, apart from when I first got the router last April, when I had to restart the router several times to make airplay work.  Cheers.

@Mikegf04 Did you per chance see that the airplay is broken with the latest IOS update?

No I didn’t!!   Off to investigate….is that just for Marantz?   Cheers

@Mikegf04 It appears to be an apple IOS thing so airplay may just upset a lot of end devices, do post back if it is not that though.

Which EE BB plan are you on including its speed? What EE router do you have (read its label or post a pix)?
