I got a letter yesterday with a router from shell Energy, stating thank you for signing up to shell Energy. That’s just it I didn’t sign up with shell Energy and never would, I am quite happy with my re broadband. Because of the position of my house I don’t get a signal from any other company like 02,Vodafone, giff gaff or any other company I get my signal with ee and I am quite happy with this. What can I do to stop this nonsense as me or my husband haven’t signed up to shell Energy broadband. Is it just a matter of ignoring them.?

Hi @Ja1966

Is the name on the box you received you?

If not it seems it was sent to the wrong address. You are best off speaking to shell.

Thanks

In which case you should have got a letter from EE saying someone else is trying to take over your line & giving you 10 days to reply & refuse it being taken over. Best to check this out with CS.

Shell Energy are naughty peeps. Recently they added themselves as a supplier to my credit record when I've never been with them but was once many years ago with a firm that later went bust & Shell took them over long after I'd already gone. Shows what a shambles their records are in. I had to raise a formal complaint with Shell & it took them about 3 months to remove themselves from my credit record.
