Activation date 7th November

Hello community…activation date for my home broadband is 7th November…(original date was 28 October, they changed it for some unknown reason) …I doubt activation date can take place as I do not have an Optical Network Terminal installed.

I notified EE through their link (about a week ago which asks a number of questions regarding which ‘type of terminal do you have’…I stated that ‘it’s missing’.

I’ve not heard from them since…is there anything else I can do to help matters; I’ve answered all their questions and informed them about the ONT which is not present, therefore it needs to be installed!

Help! Nev…many thanks!

Installing the ONT by OR is part of the activation.

@NevDen2020Do you have the fibre installed but the ONT is now missing, taken, removed, or just never installed to your knowledge. If new install and was changed by OR for/because of any delay's, then it is a one day install, just had it done today, took engineers 1hr but i did all the prep work before hand. Switch on instant access after couple of mins, but was delayed 15th Oct to now 5th Nov because of failed first install.

You should have had a text from OR, your install is due 7Th Nov and a reply to carry on/ or cancel and reschedule by now, and your EE Router should be with you soon if not now? May be worth having a look at your order on your account just in case its cancelled.

Thank you…will call them.

Hi there, thanks for replying.

A rep came to the house, saw that I had BT cables installed and told me it was optical fibre. I don’t have the ONT installed…I guess the rep assumed I’d had the terminal when he saw the cable routing.

XRaySpex replied not long ago; said that the installation of the ONT was part of the activation.

Activation date is still going ahead from what I’ve seen on the account; no changes!

@NevDen2020 If that is the case, and assumed that you already have an ONT and it was or supposed to be there and already active, then you will just have a hanging fibre cable somewhere, and someone has removed the ONT and also taken the PSU for it, it happens, the now put a label on them please leave, do not remove, and if you have a self install do you EE router by plugging in and off you go. Have you NOT had any text from OR that the install/activation is going to happen 7th, and we will be there in the allotted time slot?
