Access of USB Hard Drive on Bright Box 2

Hi

I’m trying to access a USB hard drive plugged into my Bright Box 2.  From reading other posts there seems to be a missing menu in the router software.
The hard drive shows up, “shared as” is “- -“ amd there is no “share” button to the right or any USB options in any menu.
From what I’ve also read on a post here, the drive should show up in the appropriate section of my Smart TV, but it’s not found.

Tried setting up a FAT partition of 100mb in addition to the 1TB NTFS partition I’m trying to view.
Any suggestions appreciated on accessing the USB menu on the Bright Box, or why neither partition show up.

I wanted to set this up on my BB2 and was able to do it by enabling SMB 1.0/CIFS as per your instructions; however I promptly undid it when I saw this:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/file-server/troubleshoot/smbv1-not-installe...

"We strongly recommend that you don't reinstall SMBv1. This is because this older protocol has known security issues regarding ransomware and other malware."

and

https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/storage-at-microsoft/stop-using-smb1/ba-p/425858

Am far from a networking expert myself; how much of the above is paranoia?

@MBEE : Dunno but I've always use MB 1.0/CIFS with EE routers' USB.
