Access Point question

Emyr11
Explorer

Hi

Last week pushed over from BT to EE for broadband. My BT black disk no longer works as an access point in a far-away room.

Could I buy another EE Smart Hub Plus router and use that, or am I better just going for a TP-Link access point, for example?

IMportant thing is that everything is on the same network (so don;t have to switch manually all the time).

Many thanks

Emyr

@Emyr11 Access point would be the way to go, you do not want to do another router connected to the original router. Most devices as AP will be able to use the same SSID and Password but you may have to go in and adjust it if it does not, just so you know.

Absolutely brilliant - thank you so much for the info, Jim.

I'll go with something like the TP EAP610 I think.

Thanks again,

Emyr

@Emyr11 And you will have to do some setup with that more than likely...
